Hello Kitty Cafe

One of the most iconic Japanese characters now has their own food truck. Yes, that is right, there is a big pink truck roaming the country with Hello Kitty Inspired desserts and this past Saturday it visited Minnesota!

I had no idea this truck was going to be as popular of an attraction as it was! It opened at ten and got there right as it opened.  Unfortunately, the end of the line where I started my journey was two blocks away from the truck.

Finally, after waiting a half-hour I got to look at the menu. That’s right, I didn’t get to order at this point and I wasn’t even close. I was in shock looking at the menu. Three cookies for $12?! “These better be some really good cookies for that price” I thought to myself.

As time went on I grew tired of waiting. It was 90 degrees and the line not only wrapped around the truck but then snaked back and forth three times. By the time I finally got close to the front I was actually thinking about leaving, wondering if it was worth it.

I told myself at this point I should wait it out. Once it was my turn to order I decided to try the Hello Kitty Petit 4 cakes. They looked adorable in the packaging so I decided to splurge on the cakes and buy nothing else.

The Verdict: Overall, it was a fun experience! Would I do it again? NO! Never in a million years. Sorry, the two hour wait wasn’t worth it. Along with that, the taste of the cakes wasn’t worth $15. I could have bought a cake from the grocery store for that price and it would have tasted better too. If you are a Hello Kitty lover you would like it but otherwise I would pass!

I hope you guys enjoyed my little review! All opinions are my own and are based on the the product I tried and my overall experience!
